Offerings

SCREENED TOPSOIL -  The process by which a larger mass of soil, stones, roots and other matter are removed from the soil which is done according to size (so soil screened to 1” will contain no lumps or objects greater than 1” across). 

Recommended Use:  This soil is a very dense and heavy product.  Topsoil is perfect for filling holes, leveling the ground or grading foundations.

Note: Many people think Topsoil is used to “top-dress” a lawn but this is not the case.  Topsoil  lacks the nutrients needed for gardens or topdressing and its heavy texture makes it difficult for roots to establish.

If you have an uneven yard and plan to re-sod your lawn, consider applying topsoil first and coat with garden mix before laying the sod.

GARDEN MIX - More than just dirt; it's a blend of organic and inorganic material  of peat moss and compost, combined to make fertile soil. The inorganic portion is a blend of compost, sulphur, and mulch. ... There is no universally perfect soil composition, but some ratios are healthier for a broader range of plant life.

Recommended Use: This all purpose garden mix is ideal for starting new flower gardens, amending existing gardens, and once blended with top soil is an excellent addition to make topdressing. Most nutrient rich of our blends.

BLACK MULCH - Mulch is a layer of material applied to the surface of soil. Reasons for applying mulch include conservation of soil moisture, improving fertility and health of the soil, reducing weed growth and enhancing the visual appeal of the area.

Recommended Use:  Use as a covering on flower beds or other garden spaces (great benefits for soil and plants.) On pathways as a decorative element in your landscaped property.

GRAVEL - Base mixture of small stones, grainy sand and dirt.
Recommended Use:  Gravel is primarily a base for pathways, driveways, or patios. It can also be used to mix mortar.
